Abstract:

The present review concerns etiology and pathogenesis of epilepsy and the specific features of the anti-epileptic treatment of the patients presenting with various forms of the disease with special reference to the influence of anti-epileptic therapy on compromised homeostasis. The analysis of the stomatological status of the patients suffering from epilepsy is presented. The prospects for the application of the dental implantation techniques in the epileptic patients are discussed.
