Abstract:

The article presents current views of the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. By analyzing Russian and foreign protocols, the data of clinical trials and observations, the investigators have assessed currently available medical and surgical treatments for polyposis in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Special attention is paid to the pathogenetic substantiation of the safety of, an integrated approach to, and the level of evidence for the proposed schemes to treat and prevent recurrent rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
