During the implementation of the Capital Health Care State Program, significant transformations took place in Moscow health care: the material and technical base of health care institutions was strengthened, a three-tier system of medical care was formed, a transition to general medical practice was made, new technologies for diagnostics and treatment were introduced, the salary of medical workers increased. Information technology began to be widely used. The results of the implementation of these reforms have determined a significant improvement in medical and demographic indicators, which are important in a comprehensive assessment of the population health and information that is necessary for health authorities for planning and forecasting, as well as for making managerial decisions and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and projects in health care.
OBJECTIVE
Assessment of the main medical and demographic trends in Moscow during the implementation of reforms.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The main medical and demographic indicators in Moscow for 2012-2019 studied using statistical and analytical methods
RESULTS
During the implementation of the program, positive changes were identified, such as an increase in the life expectancy of citizens, a decrease in overall mortality, mortality from individual causes (diseases of the circulatory system and external causes). However, despite the implementation of the program, fertility rates are significantly lower than the final indicators stated in the program, and mortality rates are higher than predicted.
CONCLUSION
Medical and demographic trends are an indicator of ongoing transformations in the health care system and an important information platform when making management decisions to improve the efficiency of the health care system. However, it should also be borne in mind that not only the health care system, but also other factors affect the health and demographic indicators: socio-economic development of the region, behavioral, genetic, ecological, etc.
