Abstract:

In diabetes mellitus, a combination of several factors plays a role in the development of cardiovascular pathology: both the coronary arteries and the myocardium deteriorate due to the development of diabetes-specific micro- and macroangiopathy. In 50—80% of cases, type 2 diabetes mellitus is combined with arterial hypertension, which significantly increases the risk of complications. The article presents a clinical and morphological case, reflecting the development of complications in diabetes mellitus.
