Abstract:

The paper considers the problems with the professional training of healthcare workers for implementation of healthy lifestyle promotion measures in the framework of their primary health care at all stages. It analyzes the existing normative legal documents regulating this area of preventive work. Requirements for professional competences acquired by medical workers while undergoing specialist’s, bachelor’s, master’s, resident’s, and postgraduate training programs, as well as requirements of professional standards for basic medical specialties are dealt with. The authors have formulated proposals and developed a number of recommendations for training healthcare workers so that they will be able to make activities to promote a healthy lifestyle among the attached population.
