This review considers the influencing factors of external genital endometriosis on fertility, the existing possible options for its diagnosis, the informative value of a number of potential biomarkers in the diagnosis of external genital endometriosis. An in-depth study of the options for laboratory diagnosis of endometriosis will not only reveal the disease at an early preclinical stage, but also provide new ways to overcome infertility in ART clinics.
