Objective - to study the features of hormonal homeostasis in adolescent girls with vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). Material and methods. We examined 54 adolescent girls (aged 12-17 years old) affected by VVC. Ultrasound and laboratory methods were used. Results. The levels of testosterone, estradiol and progesterone in girls with VVC were lower than in healthy adolescent girls. Conclusion. We suggest that recurrent VVС leads to steroidogenesis suppression as a result of infectious or immune factors.
