Objective. To study the cellular and humoral components of immune system in young girls with vulvovaginal candidosis (VVC). Methods. A total of 44 adolescent girls aged from 12 to 15 years with VVC verified according to international classification of WHO were investigated. The immune status was assessed using a set of monoclonal antibodies defining a common pool of T-and B-lymphocyte subpopulations of CD4, CD8, CD16, and the number of activation markers CD23, CD95 lymphocytes. Phagocytic activity of neutrophils were determined by their ability to absorb the particles of melamine latex size 1.2-1.5 microns. Serum immunoglobulins were measured by radial Mancini immune diffusion. Results. VVC in adolescence is associated with immune disorders such as T-lymphocyte deficiency, changed ratio of T-helpers and T-suppressors with predominance of T-suppressor effects, IgA deficiency and increased level of immunoglobulins G, M and natural killers. Conclusion. VVC in adolescence is accompanied with both cellular and humoral immune disorders.
