Gastric cancer (GC) ranks 5^th in the structure of morbidity and 4^th in terms of causes of death among all malignant neoplasms. A significant number of newly diagnosed cases of GC are represented by stage IV of the disease. Despite the development of screening programs and the use of a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of this category of patients, the results remain unsatisfactory in stage IV. The median survival time for stage IV GC is, according to Russian and foreign authors, an average of 8—12 months. The article presents a clinical case of successful treatment of a 64-year-old patient with verified stage IV cancer who received conservative treatment at the Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary of Ulyanovsk. The follow-up period is 40 months.
