Abstract:

The article presents clinical observations of 2 patients after perioperative polychemotherapy, who, as part of combined treatment, underwent extended resection stages in the form of gastrectomy with the formation of a high esophago-intestinal anastomosis in the mediastinum. During observations after the diagnosis of anastomosis failure, in order to separate the lumen of the defect zone from the pleural cavity, it was necessary to conduct a single thoracoscopic sanitation and program cycles of the vacuum aspiration system, thereby eliminating the complication and eliminating the possibility of extirpation of the previously formed reconstruction.
