Abstract:

Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most common nosological entities among cancers. In the structure of morbidity and mortality from malignant neoplasms, BC occupies a leading position in most countries of the world. The paper analyzes overall trends in morbidity and mortality rates and information on the diagnosis of BC and the patient population with this disease in Russia during a 20-year period (2000—2020) on the basis of state statistical reporting data. It compares the Russian estimates with the international data of the GLOBOCAN 2020 project. The COVID-19 pandemic is indicated to have an impact on main statistical indicators.
