The analysis of modern literature on the possibilities of surgery in the treatment of patients with metastatic bone damage is presented. Currently, onco-orthopedics has not only unified approaches to the scope of surgical treatment of skeletal metastases in specific clinical situations, but also unequivocal criteria for predicting the effectiveness of surgical interventions. A study of the prognosis of cancer can improve the results of treatment of patients with bone metastases due to an individualized choice of tactics and scope of surgical treatment.
