Abstract:

Radical prostatectomy (RPE) is the main radical treatment option for localized prostate cancer (PCa). RPE added by extended pelvic lymphadenectomy (PLAE) is considered to be the generally accepted treatment in PCa patients at intermediate and high risk of progression. However, a high percentage of postoperative complications of RPE and PLAE remain, which in turn worsens quality of life in patients. The paper presents the results of a literature review of postoperative complications of RPE with extended TLAE and methods for their prevention and correction.
