Abstract:

The paper highlights the basic issues of tolerability of radiotherapy and chemoradiotherapy in patients with head and neck tumors. It presents the spectrum of side effects and touches upon the key issues of preparation for treatment and supportive care. Special attention is paid to the management of patients with radiation-induced mucositis and dermatitis.
