The paper reports the first Russian experience in using the developed and practically introduced procedure of radical abdominal trachelectomy. The authors define indications for this organ-saving treatment option and comparatively analyze both cancer and reproductive results. They also describe the specific features of pregnancy management in patients after radical trachelectomy and the possible ways of improving the reproductive results of organ-saving treatment for invasive cancer of the cervix uteri.
