The problem of comorbidity in patients with psoriasis, when cardiovascular diseases in this patient become an urgent issue, dictates the need for timely diagnosis and prevention. Objective. The study is aimed at assessing risk factors for circulatory system diseases and predicting the risk of death resulting from the cardiovascular diseases during the next 10 years in patients with psoriasis. Material and methods. The study involved 100 patients with psoriasis, the control group consisted of 30 individuals. In both groups, the presence/absence of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, smoking, dyslipidemia, diabetes, obesity, alcohol abuse, psychosocial factors, age, gender, as well as adherence to pharmacotherapy with hypotensive drugs and statins) were assessed. SCORE scale and PROCAM prognostic program were used to assess the risk of mortality resulting from cardiovascular diseases. Results. In patients with psoriasis, hypertension was by 21.3% more frequent, obesity — by 8.3% more frequent, and abdominal obesity — by 16% more frequent than in the control group. In patients with psoriasis, 65 (65%) patients had three or more risk factors, which is by 35% higher compared to the control group. According to SCORE scale and PROCAM prognostic program, patients with psoriasis had high risk of mortality (2 and 1.5-fold higher compared to the control group, respectively). Conclusion. In the group of patients with psoriasis, 65 (65%) patients have 3 or more risk factors of developing cardiovascular diseases, which is by 35% higher than in the control group, as well as the high cardiovascular risk of mortality during the next 10 years.
