It was analyzed the state of endothelial function in patients with chronic heart failure depending on symptoms of metabolic syndrome. We examined 46 patients with chronic heart failure functional class II-III due to postinfarction cardiosclerosis. State of endothelial function was estimated using test with reactive hyperemia according to D. Celemajer (1992). Changes of the diameter of right brachial artery were assessed using 7 MHz linear transducer of ultrasound system Siemens (Korea). It was established that chronic heart failure is accompanied by endothelial dysfunction which is most pronounced in patients with metabolic syndrome. Combination of diabetes type 2 with other components of metabolic syndrome especially with dislipoproteinemia is the most important factor aggravating endothelial function in patients with chronic heart failure.
