Abstract:

Direct and long-term results of endovascular treatment for aorto-iliac lesions were analyzed in 124 patients with extended lower limb arterial atherosclerosis. 185 interventions were carried out including 140 stentings and 45 balloon angioplasties. Technical success was achieved in 98.9% of cases. Complications requiring surgical intervention were observed in 3 (2.4%) patients. Average time of long-term observation amounted 42±6 months, maximal - 108 months. Primary patency of operated vessels amounted 96.4, 92.7 and 84.7% after 3, 12 and 24 months accordingly, secondary patency - 100% in all terms. Good direct and long-term results allow broadening indications for endovascular treatment of atherosclerotic aorto-iliac lesions.
