Abstract:

As is known, atrial fibrillation in most cases complicates heart failure flow. Mostly common pathogenic mechanisms explain such situation. Until recently, it was hard to believe this vicious circle could be interrupted. But development of catheter ablation in atrial fibrillation treatment changed notably tactics for this group of patients: from rate control to rhythm control using pharmacological therapy, and now it all comes to surgical treatment.
