Chronic venous disorders of lower limbs, anxiety and depression, as well as restless legs syndrome (RLS) are very common. Accordingly, there are persons with simultaneous disorders that affects the symptoms. Objective — to study the prevalence and relationship of chronic venous disorders of lower limbs, RLS, anxiety and depressive conditions among office workers. Material and methods. There were 582 employees of enterprises of the Moscow region. The study included 450 (77.5%) women and 132 (22.5%) men aged 18—85 years (mean 45 years). Survey included examination by phlebologist with vein sonography, questionnaire to identify RLS and hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS). Results. The prevalence of chronic venous disorders of lower limbs was 82.6% for classes C1—C6. Advanced anxiety was observed in 163 (28%) cases, depression — in 50 (8.6%). RLS was diagnosed in81 cases. Approximately every fourth person had chronic venous disorders of lower limbscombined with RLS and psychological disorders. It was not possible to identify correlation between CEAP class and RLS, as well as with psychological disorders. People with RLS were 4 times more likely to have depression compared with those without RLS. All symptoms were absent in about 1/3 of people. Conclusion. The prevalence of chronic venous disorders of lower limbs is consistent with data from other epidemiological studies (82.6% for classes C1—C6). There was no significant correlation between chronic venous disorders of lower extremities (and subjective symptoms), RLS, anxiety and depressive conditions. Restless legs syndrome was significantly associated with anxiety and depressive disorders.
