Abstract:

This paper was designed to review of modern methods for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital vascular malformations (angiodysplasias). The possibility of using radiodiagnostic techniques (duplex scanning, magneto-resonance tomography) for the determination of the extent of the lesion is demonstrated. Indications for surgical intervention are discussed. Results of sclerotherapy with the use of microfoam are analysed.
