OBJECTIVE

Evaluation of the results of simultaneous treatment of inguinal hernia in robot-assisted prostatectomy.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

35 patients with prostate cancer were diagnosed with inguinal hernias. In this group of patients, simultaneous surgical treatment was performed in the amount of robot-assisted prostatectomy and robotic transabdominal preperitoneal plastic surgery of the anterior abdominal wall.

RESULTS

There were no complications in the early and long-term postoperative period.

CONCLUSION

The simultaneous execution of robot-assisted prostatectomy and robotic transabdominal preperitoneal plastic surgery of the anterior abdominal wall seems appropriate, effective and safe.
