The article provides an analysis of the morbidity and kind of complications and reoperations in the long-term period after gastric banding surgery (GB) and gastric shunting (GS), that based on the analysis of the kind of complications and morbidity after these interventions in patients in a period from six months to 8 years. Data evaluation was based on the results of patients examination in the hospital and/or survey data. Analyzed the kind and the frequency of reoperations, the implementation of which required developed in the later term complications after of GB (depressurization of the binding system, the port migration slippeydzh syndrome), and after of GS (peptic ulcer of anastomosis, the expansion of the stomach stump, diarrhea, dumping — sindrom, iron deficiency anemia, postoperative hernia). The authors have made an important conclusion about the possibility of reducing the incidence of late complications, with using the laparoscopic technique of GB and preoperative assessment of feeding behavior with the selection of patients for BZ, revealing their bulimia, which causes after banding slippeydzh — syndrome.
