Abstract:

Article presents description of endosurgical technique of treatment of patients with omphalomesenteric duct with the use linear stapler. From January 2005 through December 2013 5 mature newborns (3 boys and 2 girls at the age of 3—10 days) were operated on for open omphalomesenteric duct. Children’s weight was 3200—3800g. Linear endoscopic stapler ATW35 with 2,5 mm staples (Ethicon, Endo-Surgery, Cincinnati, OH) was used. Postoperative course was uneventful and proceeded without complications. Advantages of this technique include minimal invasiveness, reduction of time of surgery as well as complete removal of the mucosa after evagination of omphalomesenteric duct.
