Abstract:

In the period from 1995 to 2011 79 patients with nonincarcerated diaphragmatic hernias were under observation. Spiral CT was performed in 43 patients which enables to reveal transposition of omentum and hollow organs into the pleural cavity in 100% of cases irrespective of hernia location. Laparoscopy was performed in 54 patients, thoracoscopy - in 30 patients. Endovideosurgical techniques allowed accomplishing radical surgical interventions in 75% of patients with diaphragmatic hernias.
