CASE REPORT

A 62-year-old male, initially diagnosed with pseudotumorous pancreatitis, presented with obstructive jaundice due to pancreatic head involvement. Conventional interventions, including endoscopic retrograde pancreatography and percutaneous drainage, proved unsuccessful. Subsequent investigations confirmed ductal adenocarcinoma. Faced with challenges posed by a locally advanced tumor and recurrent complications, the patient underwent a groundbreaking procedure—EUS-choledocho-duodenal anastomosis with drainage system. The intervention, guided by a multidisciplinary approach, exhibited successful stent deployment, alleviating jaundice.

CONCLUSION

The utilization of the drainage system in EUS-BD has demonstrated its efficacy and safety in treating patients with obstructive jaundice complicated by duodenal stenosis. The outcomes of this endoscopic treatment, characterized by its minimal invasiveness, play a crucial role in reducing hospitalization duration and ensuring a satisfactory quality of life for patients.
