This article describes a rare clinical case of the successful surgical treatment of a 29 year-old patient V. presenting with a giant infected pancreatic pseudocysts (PC) complicated by the infection of the pancreatic cavity and the presence of large sequesters inside it. The method employed for the staged endoscopic internal drainage, sanation, and sequestrectomy from the two intercommunicating cavities of a single giant pseudocyst. Discussion. Chronic pancreatitis is a widespread pathological condition of the gastrointestinal tract. It is not infrequently complicated by pancreatic cysts that are usually treated by means of surgical laparotomy with intraoperative drainage. The current recommendations of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy IESGE) impose limitations on the application of the endoscopic treatment of pancreatic cysts that do not allow this technique to be used on an universal basis. Moreover, the available literature contains no publications concerning the possibility of using the laparoscopic treatment of giant infected pancreatic pseudocysts with sequestration. Conclusion. The application of the staged endoscopic techniques for the treatment of giant infected pancreatic pseudocysts with sequestration provides an alternative to the traditional surgical intervention for the management of this pathology.
