Aim — to create a set of laboratory predictors of liver steatosis in abdominal obesity (AO). Material and methods. There were 108 clinically healthy patients aged 18—68 years who were divided into two groups: group 1 included 23 people with metabolically «healthy» obesity, group 2 — 85 patients with metabolically unhealthy phenotype of AO. Patients with clinical signs of liver disease, complications of atherosclerosis and hypertension were excluded. Results. It was revealed the predictor of liver steatosis with a lesion of more than 32% of hepatocytes (LS32) with a threshold value of 0.69 (sensitivity 81%, specificity 88%; p<0.001). Area under ROC-curve was 0.910 (95% CI 0.837—0.958). Conclusion. The results of the study confirm the predictability of laboratory parameters even among patients with metabolically «healthy» phenotype of AO.
