Introduction. Early detection of malignant laryngeal tumors is crucial but still challenging. And 5-year survival rate depends on a stage of revealing. The aim of the study — assessment of the effectiveness of combined application of narrow band imaging and contact endoscopy in visualization of neoangiogenesis. Materials and methods. 102 patients were included in this study. All the patients were evaluated by means of narrow band imaging and contact endoscopy. Results. Combined application of narrow band imaging and contact endoscopy gained a high level of effectiveness: accuracy — 93.9%, sensitivity — 96%, specificity — 93.4%, positive predictive value — 94.3%, negative predictive value — 93.4%. Conclusion. Combined application of narrow band imaging and contact endoscopy may contribute to early detection of malignant laryngeal tumors.
