OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the influence of psycho-emotional state of a pregnant woman with the risk of preterm labor (PL).

MATERIAL AND METHODS

We tested the SUN questionnaire (well-being, activity, mood) in the adaptation of N.A. Kurgansky and the questionnaire determining the type of psychological component of gestational dominant by I.V. Dobryakov in 120 pregnant women who were divided into the following groups. The main group consisted of 65 pregnant women with complaints of pulling pains in the lower abdomen on admission to the obstetric department, among whom 34 gave birth prematurely (main group A) and 31 pregnant women with threatening PL (main group B). The control group included 55 patients with term delivery.

RESULTS

Life history, obstetric-gynecological and somatic anamnesis of the patients of the studied groups were evaluated to identify risk factors for the development of PL. As a result of the analysis of the questionnaire testing of the patients, the qualities of criteria (mood, efficiency, concentration, tension) and types of psychological component of gestational dominance, in which a high risk of PL development was observed, were determined.

CONCLUSION

It has been established that disorders of the psycho-emotional state of pregnant women increase the risk of preterm labor development, i.e. they can serve as factors of their prognosis, which should be taken into account by obstetrician-gynecologists in the management of pregnant women.
