The article presents a review of the literature on the problem of pelvic organ prolapse in women of young (up to 40 years old) age. This group of patients has remained out of the gynecologists’ attention, as this disease in young women is considered to be not widespread enough, but epidemiological data show the opposite. Development of the system of prevention aimed at correction of the early stages of the disease, optimization of surgical methods of treatment, as well as the algorithm of medical care in more advanced clinical observations will help to significantly improve the results of treatment of young women suffering from genital prolapse.
