Extragenital pathology is the unfavorable background against which all complications occurring during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum are aggravated. The course of labor, delivery, and postpartum was studied in 67 women with pancreatobiliary diseases (47 patients with acute pancreatitis, 20 with acute cholecystitis) who had delivered infants at Krasnoyarsk obstetric hospitals. A control group consisted of 94 healthy women. The course of labor and delivery in the study group women was complicated by antenatal amniorrhea and powerless labor. Preterm labor and a postpartum exacerbation of pancreatobiliary diseases were observed more frequently than in healthy women.
