Abstract:

A unicenter open-label comparative randomized prospective trial was conducted to evaluate the efficiency and safety of using Genferon in the combination treatment (antibiotic therapy and Genferon suppositories) of 32 patients with pelvic infiltration or lymphocyst, or vaginal stump necrosis after apparently pure gynecological surgery (a study group). A control group included 32 patients with the same complication after apparently pure gynecological surgery who received etiotropic therapy only. The study group patients displayed a rapider elimination of postoperative complications (diminished temperature and intoxication, reduced filtrations and lymphocytes, epithelized vaginal dome) than did the controls, which resulted in a decrease of the length of hospital stay.
