Nowadays, a high level of pathological processes of the oral cavity cases among the population is being determined, which are the main etiological factors in the development of dental defects that require the restoration. Moreover, one of the main methods of their restoration is dental implantation, where pronounced atrophic processes of the alveolar process are often detected, which require bone augmentation, including autogenic bone and soft tissues, which has completely unresolved problems. In this regard, it is relevant to conduct further research improving the tools and facilities used.
OBJECTIVE
To increase the efficiency of autogenic bone block sampling by developing a soft tissue protector-retractor device for the surgical angular tip.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The paper reflects the results of clinical observation of the use of the developed device of the protector-retractor of soft tissues for the surgical angular tip during augmentation of bone tissue using autogenic bone tissue for the subsequent installation of dental implants. The article presents the results of a three-year observation use of the developed device in 224 clinical cases of sampling of own bone tissues in 157 patients aged 25 to 62 years old. Statistical processing of the material was carried out using the methods of standard variation statistics.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
During the clinical study, the inexpensive and convenient protector-retractor for the angular surgical tip was created, designed for osteotomy, taking an autogenic bone block from the jaws, reducing the crest of the alveolar bone in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. Technical effect is expressed in low-invasiveness of interventions and in improvement of operational characteristics convenience of practical protector-retractor applicatio, connected with its reusable application, convenient pre-sterilization cleaning and sterilization of item.
CONCLUSION
The developed device makes it possible to use protector as additional retractor of soft tissues in area of surgical intervention, which makes it possible to work through surgical approaches of small size and minimally invasive intervention is achieved, which increases efficiency of postoperative regenerative processes of tissues.
