Introduction. The article discusses the organizational and social issues of the prevention of dental diseases in children, as well as the role of professional oral hygiene and dynamic observation of children in maintaining their dental health. The results of the use of toothpastes for children of the Junior series of the R.O.C.S. produced by the domestic industry in the case of individual oral hygiene are presented. The aim is to study the organizational, social and medical aspects of individual oral care in children. Material and methods. The study included 41 children (13 boys and 28 girls) living in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, aged 6 to 12 years, who were divided into 2 groups. The first group consisted of 22 children aged 6 to 8 years; the second — 19 children aged 9 to 12 years. At children were evaluated dental status using the index of oral hygiene Yu.A. Fedorov — V.V. Volodkina, PMA index, the degree of dental caries activity was assessed according to the recommendations of T.F. Vinogradovoy. Results. Regular two-time use for individual oral hygiene in children 6—12 years old toothpaste R.O.C.S. from the line Junior (Russia) (Berry Mix, Fruit Rainbow, and Chocolate and Caramel) allows you to maintain a good hygienic condition of the oral cavity, as well as to eliminate and prevent the recurrence of gingivitis. Findings. To improve the effectiveness of oral care in children 6—8 years of age, it is advisable for children to participate in the selection of oral care products.
