The aim of the investigation was a comparative evaluation of the efficiency of generation of singlet oxygen in the modeling of biochemical environments with laser radiation with a wavelength close to the maximum absorption of oxygen in the continuous and pulsed nanosecond modes. Materials and methods. We used a nanosecond laser for medical use with a wavelength of 1270 nm, incorporated into in a medical multifunctional robotic laser complex. In pulse mode, pulse signals generated by the duration of 400 ns and a pulse repetition rate of 500 kHz. The radiation was focused in the optical fiber with a diameter of 500 microns. The radiation power is set within 0.75±0.06 Watts. Comparative assessment carried out for the two modes of operation of the laser —pulsed nanosecond and continuous. In order to assess the effectiveness of singlet oxygen model systems were used to represent air saturated solutions of 1.3-difenilizobenzofuranium (DFIBF) in various media such as a acetone, ethanol, water with detergent. Results. With irradiation of DFIBF-solution in acetone, alcohol and water samples from all of the laser within 15 minutes was observed significant fading effect of a trap. All media DFIBF fading effect using a nanosecond pulsed radiation mode is about 40% greater than when using a continuous mode. Conclusion. The experiments demonstrate the efficient generation of singlet oxygen in media at biochemical model prototype using a nanosecond pulsed laser module for installing a robotic surgical, compared to continuous laser radiation.
