Abstract:

The purpose of the present publication was to report the experience with endoscopic diagnostics and minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of pathology of the upper respiratory tract gained at the N.I. Pirogov First Gradskaya Clinical Hospital with special reference to the peculiar features and benefits of these techniques in comparison with the radical surgical intervention for the management of disorders in the upper respiratory tract. Special attention is given to the preoperative preparation of the patients for the intervention, peculiarities of the post-operative care and possible complications.
