Abstract:

The review article considers the history of domestic preventive cardiology school development. The sequence of key moments during its establishment including important Russian and international projects aimed at identifying risk factors and creating measures on prevention of cardiovascular and other non-communicable diseases is presented. Academician R.G. Oganov has been played a major role in preventive cardiology development for 30 years. The review shows the main moments of scientific, clinical and social activity of R.G. Oganov aimed at developing this important sphere in medicine.
