The high prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and its association with various diseases, primarily obesity, and arterial hypertension, warrants a search for and study of biomarkers of pathological mechanisms underlying the development of various cardiovascular complications. This review addresses biomarkers of endothelial dysfunction as a key mechanism of cardiovascular disease development. The detection of these biomarkers at the early (preclinical) stage of the disease will reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications, morbidity, and mortality in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
