The demographic features of modern society are characterized by a decrease in fertility rates partially because of deterioration in the reproductive health of the younger generation, which is largely determined by the spread of risky forms of reproductive behavior of young people. Reason for this is due to the lack of an effective reproductive health education system for adolescents. Aim — to present experience and evaluate effectiveness of the implementation of the School of Reproductive Health project for adolescents in a children’s clinic, depending on their gender group. Methods. In this study, we carried out anonymous questioning of two groups of respondents after receiving their informed consent. The primary group included boys and girls who reached the age of 15 years and received an innovative information on the formation of reproductive health, the comparison group consisted of boys and girls who studied as part of the standard educational process. In each of the groups, a survey was conducted among students in 9th grade and in dynamics among students in 10th grade. The questionnaire included three blocks of questions that had been designed to determine the level of knowledge about reproductive health, the level of motivation for maintaining reproductive health, and a block of questions about the actual sexual behavior of the respondents. The study included questionnaire data from 373 pupils, of which 229 were included in the primary group and 144 — in the comparison groups. The number of respondents in the study was sufficient to ensure representativeness of the samples and amounted to 35% of boys aged 15—17 years, 28.9% of girls aged 15—17 years studying in educational institutions geographically attached to a medical institution. Results. A statistically significant correlation was established between the level of awareness in the field of reproductive health and the ranked level of motivation to maintain it for both girls and boys (r=0.68 and r=0.72, respectively; p=0.000 in both gender groups). In dynamics, adolescents who completed the innovative educational program increased their ranked level of motivation for health in the reproductive sphere (p=0.001 and p=0.000 for boys and girls, respectively), while for adolescents who only studied according to the standard educational process, statistically there was no significant difference in the studied index (p=0.81 in boys and p=0.08 in girls). Young men who received innovative educational services demonstrated an increase in the degree of sexual activity to a lesser extent than among peers of the comparison group (p<0.01). In girls of the primary subgroup, there was no statistically significant increase in sexual activity in dynamics (p>0.05), in contrast to girls studying in the standard educational process (p<0.01). Conclusion. The implementation of the innovative educational program «School of Reproductive Health» provides an increase in the level of motivation of adolescents to maintain reproductive health. Adolescent girls may be defined as a more compliant gender group for an innovative educational program.
