Abstract:

In recent years, it has become relevant to study the level of stress and its consequences in pupils in the presence of intensive educational activities characteristic of senior classes and a search for ways to normalize the psychoemotional status. The investigation was conducted among 120 school pupils and 105 lyceum students of 9—11 classes. The academic load for the lyceum students was shown to be intensive a first degree (Class 3.1) due to intellectual, sensory, and emotional stresses and working patterns, whereas that for the schoolchildren was permissible (Class 1). The lyceum students having a high academic load showed increases in the levels of stress, anxiety, and negative emotional experiences by 1.5—2.5 times, while the number of pupils with aggressive behavior was 1.6 times higher among the young men than among the lyceum and school girls, whereas the pupils with a high level of anxiety and with negative emotional experiences at the lesson were 1.5—2.3 times more frequently encountered among the girls.
