Abstract:

Objective — to evaluate the efficiency and feasibility of postplacental insertion of IUD during cesarean section. Material and methods. 38 women were studied with intraoperatively administered IUD, 24 women had immunological examination. Results. Serum levels of cytokines were measured. There was no significant differences between the groups. Conclusions. Postplacental insertion of IUD proved to be safe and effective method of contraception used in women after cesarean section.
