Оbjective. To study the influence of COC on early metabolic syndrome. Material and methods. We recruited 60 women aged 23—34 years (29.3±3.4) with body mass index (BMI) 25—30 kg/m2 and abdominal obesity. 30 μg ethynilestradiol/0.15 mg levonorgestrel was administered to 30 patients (1-st group), 30 μg ethynilestradiol/3 mg drospirenone was recommended to 30 patients (2-nd group). Control group included 15 lean women aged 22—32 years, who used pills with 30 μg ethynilestradiol/0.15 mg levonorgestrel for 6 month. Results. BMI and amount of  adipose tissue had no changes in all groups. index HOMA-IR index was increased in 1st and 2nd groups. In the 1 group total cholesterine and LDLP concentrations reliably raised. Concentration of LDLP grew reliably in all patient, who used the pills with levonorgestrel. Gomocystein and D-dimer concentrations had no changes in control, but increased in both groups with obesity (especially in patients who used the pills with levonorgestrel). C-reactive protein concentration was lightly elevated from the very beginning in obese patients.
