Objective. To estimate the prevalence of various cerebrovascular diseases in the Chuvash Republic according to the data of computer tomographic angiography (CT angiography). Subjects and methods. The results of CT angiography were assessed in 131 patients of the Department of Radiation Diagnosis, Republican Clinical Hospital, Ministry of Health of the Chuvash Republic (the 2016 data). Results. Among different types of cerebrovascular diseases, arterial aneurysms ranked first in prevalence (45% of the examinees). At the same time, aneurysms were detected three times more frequently in women than in men. Multiple aneurysms were found in 22% of the patients. Arteriovenous malformations were detected in 3.8% of all the examinees. One female patient was diagnosed with moyamoya disease that is a rare cerebrovascular abnormality in Russia. Dural venous sinus thrombosis was identified in 3 women. Conclusion. CT angiography could diagnose not only a common cerebrovascular disease, but also its rare forms. Almost all detected diseases were accompanied by cerebral circulatory disorders. There was a correlation of vascular disease and the incidence of complications with the variants of the circle of Willis structure.
