Aim. Analysis and assessment of changes in the quality of life of patients with brain glioma in the pre- and postoperative period. Materials and methods. A clinical examination of 30 brain glioma patients was performed. Diagnosis in these patients was based on clinical and laboratory data, data of radiation and instrumental methods of examination. Quality of life analysis was performed in patients in the preoperative, early and late postoperative periods. Patients were aged 25 to 65 years, median age was 56.5 years. To assess the quality of life of the examinees in the pre- and postoperative period, a special questionnaire EORTC QLQ-C30 was chosen, which was used in many international clinical studies. Results. In the early postoperative period, more severe pain syndrome was observed in the examined patients, nausea and vomiting occurred more often. However, patients in their early and late postoperative periods evaluated their general health status better than before the operation. In the late postoperative period, positive results were registered on all scales of the questionnaire. Conclusion. After studying various quality of life indices before and after surgery in patients with cerebral glioma, it was found that surgical intervention leads to an improvement in the quality of life of patients.
