Aim. To study the significance of changes in some parameters of microcirculation in the pathogenesis of basal cell carcinoma of the skin. Materials and Methods. Microcirculation parameters were studied in 39 patients with basal cell skin cancer, the average age was 65±3 years. Blood was drawn before the start of the operation. In all cases, the disease was confirmed by the data of a morphological study, which was carried out before the start of the operation. Results. Studies have shown that in patients suffering from basal cell carcinoma of the skin, there was a decrease in blood fluidity, which confirmed an increase in the viscosity properties of blood, an increase in the indices of aggregation and deformability of red blood cell in preoperative period. In addition, an increase in hematocrit and oxygen delivery were registered in these patients. At the same time, in the group of patients with skin fibroids, changes in the viscosity properties of blood were not found. In addition, a significant increase in the level of D-dimer was registered in patients of this group. All this may be regarded as a manifestation of thrombotic complications, therefore, it may be assumed that patients with basal cell carcinoma of the skin are a potential risk group for the development of thromboembolic complications, despite the absence of clinical signs of these complications.
