Abstract:

The article analyzes the incidence of non-melanoma skin cancer among the population living in Siberia and the Far East. The incidence of skin cancer in the population of the region is higher than the average incidence in the Russian Federation (p<0.05). The morbidity is high in the Altai (38.2) and Kamchatka (35.3) Territories and the Omsk Region (38.3) and low in the Republics of Sakha (10.2) and Tuva (14.5). In 2005 to 2015, the incidence rates increased in men from 25.5 to 29.5 (a 15.5% growth rate) per 100,000 population and in women from 21.6 to 28.6 (a 32.4% growth rate). The high growth rate was observed in the Kamchatka (86.8%) and Krasnoyarsk (84.0%) Territories, the Omsk Region (72.2%), and the Republic of Altai (49.6%). The patients aged 60 years and older were 75.5%. The increased incidence of skin cancer was noted in men in the age groups 65—69, 75—79, and 80—84 years and in women aged 50 and over. In the population of Siberia and Far East, the cumulative risk of skin cancer increased from 5.4% in 2005 to 8.1% in 2015, being higher for men (8.8%) than for women (7.9%).
