Abstract:

Different drugs used for the therapy of neuropathic pain in oncology were tested. The efficacy of opioid analgesics, antidepressants, and anticonvulsants was evaluated. Clinical trials conducted in different countries to study the efficiency and tolerability of neuropathic pain therapy with currently available anticonvulsants versus morphine and tricyclic antidepressants again lend support to the validity of differentiated therapy policy for pain in malignancies.
