INTRODUCTION
Interindividual genetic variability, primarily associated with point polymorphisms or small insertions/deletions, can affect the risk of developing almost any disease in humans and their clinical course. Infectious diseases are no exception, in which the genetic characteristics of a particular person can affect both the likelihood of infection and the nature of the development of the infectious process. In recent years, special attention has been paid to studying the role of genetic factors in the formation of the clinical picture of COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronaviruses of modulating motor behavior impaired by the introduction of MPTP.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
To carry out the typing of polymorphic DNA markers, genomic DNA was isolated from 200 μl of whole blood using the K-Sorb kit (JSC Syntol, Russia), after which genotyping was carried out by real-time PCR using TaqMan technology using the SNP-Screen kits (JSC Syntol, Russia).
RESULTS
An analysis of the possible role of polymorphic variants of the genes of the interferon system IL23R, IL6, IL28B, IL17F in the development of coronavirus infection in the Russian population was carried out. At the same time, one polymorphic variant in each gene was typed in 200 patients who had COVID-19 in 2020-2021 and were characterized by the severity of the disease. In general, all the data obtained allow us to state that the studied polymorphisms in the genes of proteins from the interferon system do not significantly affect either the likelihood of developing coronavirus infection or the severity of its clinical manifestations in patients from the Russian population.
CONCLUSION
The obtained data allow us to state that the studied polymorphisms in the genes of proteins from the interferon system do not significantly affect either the likelihood of developing coronavirus infection or the severity of its clinical manifestations in patients from the Russian population.
