OBJECTIVE

To study the incidence of syphilis in the female and child population, as well as regulatory documents regulating the preventive activities of doctors of various specialties.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

A retrospective analysis of federal statistical observation data presented in the collections of the Ministry of Health of Russia for the period from 2016 to 2020 was carried out using an analytical, mathematical and descriptive method.

RESULTS

A decrease in the proportion of syphilis detected by dermatovenerologists and obstetricians-gynecologists has been shown in comparison with cases identified by other specialists, its decrease in women before pregnancy. At the same time, the proportion of pregnant women with syphilis newly diagnosed upon treatment who did not have time to receive specific treatment before the birth of the child increased. A decrease in the incidence of syphilis in children aged 15—17 years with its growth at the age of 0—14 years has been established.

CONCLUSION

The results of the study demonstrate the need for regional monitoring of the performance indicators of medical organizations in order to assess preventive work and its improvement in order to preserve the reproductive health of the population.
